M.P.I the Motion Picture Institute chose Max for a role in there upcoming movie
"Dark Fields".
The movie which is a full length feature is a horror movie with a very interesting
story line
starring David Carradine (Kill Bill) & Dee Wallace ( E.T) & Richard Lynch
(Halloween, Invasion USA, Sword & Sorcerer)
Max's part was filmed over two days.
The first day of the shoot involved Max working with the lead actor, and also
working closely with a number of children
On the second day Max had lots to do including having to jump over cameras,
barking on Que and attacking the bad guy etc.
Day 13 and Max
The barn was packed to capacity last night as cameras were set to roll.
The curious onlookers had gathered to watch a canine named MAX. Max
was the personal protection dog brought in for a climatic action sequence that finds
mans best friend coming to the rescue of two wounded children. It was
exciting and somewhat frightening to watch as this completely lovable
canine would be playful one minute but then, at the command of his
trainer, he'd become a savage blood thirsty beast. We watched on as a
stunt man was repeatedly mauled on Que with expert timing. It was an
exciting way to wrap out our week long stay inside the barn.
Director  Douglas Schultz
Max is my own dog that i have trained for many years, and just goes to
show even as a more than capable personal protection dog he is also
obedient and safe in strange situations, around people and children.
My goal is to give each and every dog that i train the same standard that i expect
from my own dog.
